For instance, when an email arrives, an agent can be activated to look up the sender\u2019s details and account, see previous communications, check inventory, ask the sender their preferences, and then take the necessary actions to close a ticket.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThink of agents as the new apps for an AI-powered world. Every organization will have a constellation of agents \u2014 ranging from simple prompt-and-response to fully autonomous. They will work on behalf of an individual, team or function to execute and orchestrate business processes. Copilot is how you\u2019ll interact with these agents, and they\u2019ll do everything from accelerating lead generation and processing sales orders to automating your supply chain,\u201d Microsoft wrote in its <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/microsoft-copilot\/blog\/copilot-studio\/microsoft-copilot-studio-building-copilots-with-agent-capabilities\/?msockid=3ba71385d1d06b0c22db0159d0fd6a48\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">announcement<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The company shared some examples of customers that have already built their own autonomous agents, including Pets at Home, who created an agent to compile cases for human review; McKinsey &amp; Company, who created an agent to speed up client onboarding; and Thomson Reuters, who created an agent to speed up its legal due diligence process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Microsoft is also releasing ten new autonomous agents in <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/dynamics-365\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dynamics 365<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, which is its enterprise resource planning (ERP) and customer relationship management (CRM) software.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">New agents spans sales, service, finance, and supply chain use cases, and include examples like:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sales Qualification Agent, which researches leads, prioritizes opportunities, and guides customer outreach<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supplier Communications Agent, which tracks supplier performance to detect and respond to delays<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customer Intent and Customer Knowledge Management Agents, which learn from customer service representatives how to resolve customer issues and add articles to a company\u2019s knowledge base.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Microsoft is continuing to improve generative AI across Windows with new updates to Microsoft 365 Copilot.
